Description:Resume: When one deal with problems related with hyperbolicity of a given diffeomorphism, random product of matrices or even the study of the spectrum of operators in infinity dimensional spaces such as discretized versions of Schrödinger type operators, a theme which appears naturally is of the positivity (simplicity in higher dimensions) and continuity of Lyapunov exponents of Linear cocycles. In the first part of this lecture one will treat of the basic properties and general theory of the Lyapunov exponent of Linear cocycles as well as mention some of the main results in the theory. In the second part one will discuss our contribution to the theory (joint work with M. Poletti) dealing with the problems of positive/simplicity and continuity of the Lyapunov exponents of random product of quasi-periodic cocycles.
