Abstract: In this talk I will describe an overview of several metric fixed point problems and their connections to structural and geometric aspects of Banach spaces. Although many of them remain open, several interesting partial results will be displayed. The talk will be suitable for both beginners and experts in Nonlinear Functional Analysis.
