Abstract: Supervised learning methods from AI are introduced, with focus on the building and tailoring of neural network architectures to problems in mathematics. This is then demonstrated through short summaries of three recent works in geometry: learning Einstein metrics on spheres (2502.13043), learning scalar curvature on spheres (2602.12368), and finally learning minimal Willmore surfaces (2604.04321).
